Settings on the iPhone
Every card on the Settings screen and what each page holds.
Settings on the iPhone is a screen of cards, one per page, opened by tapping your photo in the top left of any tab. The account card sits at the top, the pages follow in one column, and the version closes the screen. Most of what you set here is your account's and shows the same in the browser and the Mac app, as Settings in Roma describes. A few things, the Action Button and Dictation among them, belong to this phone.
The account card
Your photo or initials, your name and your email, with two buttons: Manage account opens the Account page, and Sign out asks once and signs you out. The Account page holds your first name, your last name and your email, with Sign Out and Delete Account at the bottom. Deleting asks twice, and Delete your account says what it removes.
The cards, in order
Agents opens roma.app/agents in the in-app browser: how ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and the rest connect to Roma, one page per agent with the prompt to copy.
Display holds Appearance (System, Light, Dark or Color, with the background colors once Color is on), your Timezone and the First day of week.
Navigation fills the tab bar's three slots between Tasks and More, the Operator in one of them, and arranges the More tab: a switch and a grip on every row, Lists, Favorites, Shared with me and Automations on from the start, Experts off, and the two page rows Memory and Settings off until you want them on More too. Under the rows, the switch Sync pinned lists, on from the start, decides whether the phone pins the same lists as your Mac or keeps its own (sections, pins and favorites).
Action Button shows a preview of what a press does, then Mode (Voice or Text), Send after silence and Talk without opening Roma. All three belong to this phone.
AI and Dictation holds Clean up what I type (on from the start: Roma tidies the title of a typed task, reads its due date out of the words and fills the list's properties), the Level and Voice of AI Editing, and Dictation (Live, or After recording), which is this phone's choice.
Tasks & Notes holds Archived, Completed tasks (every completed task, newest first, fifty at a time) and the switch Show overdue tasks as today.
Notifications has two groups. Reminders and work: a repair row while notifications are off for Roma, Reminder time, the switches for Reminders, Operator replies, Automations, Browser hand-offs, Prepared work and Follow-ups, and Badge, which lights the app icon for an unread reply or an unread update. Shared tasks and notes: How often (As it happens, Every 4 hours, Every 8 hours, Once a day or Once a week) and the ten switches for what people do on shared things, from Messages in shared chats to Shared with you. Notification settings explains each.
Connections lists every app you can connect. Each opens into its status, Reconnect or Disconnect, its own options (Linear's default team, Notion's pins, GitHub's repositories, Google Calendar's calendars) and what the operator may do with it. X comes included and has Enable and Disable instead.
Import reads your tasks from Todoist, through its connection, and from Apple Reminders, straight off the phone after one permission prompt. Each shows what it found, list by list with counts, and an Import button.
Permissions is Roma's own tools, grouped, with what the operator may do without asking you first: Permissions.
Event Log is everything that has happened in your workspace. Tap a row and its task or note opens: The Event Log.
News and Changelog open the website's pages in the in-app browser.
Rate Roma opens the App Store with the review sheet up. Provide Feedback opens a feedback screen. Help by mail is hello@roma.app.
Under the cards, the version line reads the build you are on.
What is this phone's, and what is your account's
The Action Button's three settings, the Dictation choice, the row shape of your lists and Sync pinned lists belong to this phone. The rest is your account's: Navigation follows you to another iPhone, and AI Editing, Clean up what I type, Show overdue tasks as today, Notifications, Connections and Permissions show the same in the browser and the Mac app, in the same words.
Questions people ask
Where is Memory on the iPhone?
Memory is a row on the More tab, off until you switch it on under Settings → Navigation. The operator reads and writes your memory either way. Memory describes what Roma keeps.
How do I turn on notifications again after refusing them?
Open Settings → Notifications. While notifications are off for Roma, the top row says so and takes you to the iPhone's Settings app, where you allow them for Roma. Back in Roma, the switches work as before.
Which settings are shared with the Mac and the browser?
The ones that are your account's: AI Editing, Clean up what I type, Show overdue tasks as today, Notifications, Connections and Permissions. The Action Button, Dictation, the row shape and Sync pinned lists are this phone's alone, and Navigation is the iPhone's own arrangement.
How do I sign out or delete my account?
Both are on the account card at the top: Sign out, which asks once, and Manage account → Delete Account, which asks twice.
