Install Roma on your iPhone

Get it from the App Store, sign in, and your lists are on your phone.

The iPhone app is on the App Store at apps.apple.com/app/id6762153252. It is made for the iPhone and needs iOS 26.1 or later. Sign in with the Google or Apple account you use at roma.app and on the Mac, and your lists are on your phone, with the operator one tab away.

Install it

  1. Open the App Store listing above, or search the App Store for Roma, and tap Get. The download page at roma.app links to the same listing.

  2. Open Roma and tap Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. It is one account everywhere, so the lists you already have are on the first screen, and a brand-new account starts with its Tasks list and its Notes list. Create your account and sign in covers the account itself.

  3. Roma opens on the Tasks tab.

The first screen

Three tabs across the bottom: Tasks, Operator and More. Tasks is your Tasks list, the tab Roma opens on every time. A new account finds a welcome card at its top with a few examples to try. Operator is your conversation, with the chat bar reading "Ask your operator": tap into it to type, tap the mic to talk, and on a new account the operator's first cards are already there. More holds your lists, your favorites, what others shared with you, your automations and Updates. Your photo in the top left of every tab opens Settings.

What comes with the app

  • The share sheet. Roma appears when you share a link, text or photos from any app, and the share lands in the chat bar for you to say what to do with it: Share to Roma from any app.

  • Widgets, the Lock Screen faces and two Controls. The Tasks widget on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen, and New task and Talk to Roma for Control Center. They show up in the gallery once you have opened Roma once: Widgets, the Lock Screen and Controls.

  • The Action Button. Assign Talk to Roma in the iPhone's Settings and a press opens your conversation with the mic live, or listens from the Dynamic Island without opening the app: The Action Button.

  • Siri. "Talk to Roma" and "Ask Roma" open the same conversation.

  • Notifications. A reminder or a reply from your operator reaches you as a push. Roma asks for permission when you turn on the first switch that needs it, under Settings → Notifications.

  • Apple Reminders. Settings → Import reads your reminders from the phone itself, with one permission prompt on the first tap: Import your tasks.

Your lists are on the phone

The app keeps your lists on the phone and opens from them, so a launch with no network still shows everything, and a task you add in a tunnel goes up the moment you are out of it. The Tasks widget follows the app within a second or two of any change.

Keeping it current

Updates come through the App Store like any app's. If a version falls too far behind what the service expects, Roma shows Update required with a button to the App Store, and works again on the new version.

Questions people ask

Is there an iPad app?

No. Roma is built for the iPhone, and an iPhone app runs on an iPad in its compatibility mode. On an iPad, the browser at roma.app has the same account and the same lists.

Do I need a separate account on the phone?

No. One account, the same lists everywhere. Sign in on the phone with the Google or Apple account you used in the browser or on the Mac, and everything is there, the conversation with the operator included.

Does the iPhone app work offline?

Yes, for your lists. They live on the phone, so Roma opens and you can read, add and complete tasks with no network, and the changes sync when it is back. Talking to the operator and dictating need a connection.

How do I get to Settings on the iPhone?

Tap your photo in the top left of any tab. Settings opens as a page you go back from, with one card per page: Settings on the iPhone lists them.
